Mass. is winding down its remaining free COVID test sites this month Almost exactly a year after Massachusetts first began winding down the free “Stop the Spread” testing program, the last 11 sites will close by the end of the month. Demand for testing is a fraction of what it used to be, but health officials say the state should be able to ramp back up if the need rises. WBUR
